Triumph Japan’s Customization Contest Crowns ‘Ace Cafe Racer’ as Champion

Triumph Motorcycles Japan announced the winners of its nationwide customization contest, spotlighting the creative prowess of its dealers. The competition, centered around the DAYTONA 660 model, invited dealers across the country to showcase their unique customizations. Enthusiasts casted their votes between February 19 and March 6 of 2025.

First Place

Emerging as the frontrunner stood the “DAYTONA 660/Ace Cafe Racer” crafted by Triumph Yokohama Kohoku, amassing 265 votes. This bespoke motorcycle pays homage to the iconic café racer style. This genre originated among British motorcycle enthusiasts in the early 1960s, characterized by its minimalist aesthetic and emphasis on speed. The Ace Cafe Racer features hand-painted bodywork by Nishimura Coat Grizzly and integrates high-performance components, including GALE SPEED brakes, Sunstar discs with distinctive red floating pins, and accessories from BABY FACE and Magical Racing. The collaboration with the legendary Ace Cafe London further accentuates its retro-modern appeal.

Second Place

Securing second place with 253 votes was the “DAYTONA 660 GP Carbon” from Triumph Saitama Minami. This model stands out with its extensive use of carbon fiber, golden accents, and custom-made front wings and rear fenders, exuding a refined racing aesthetic.

Third Place

The third place spot went to the “Enjoy DAYTONA 660” by Triumph Fukuoka, garnering 104 votes. This customization emphasizes rideability and style, featuring upgraded braking systems with BREMBO floating discs and Nissin radial masters, an SC Project full exhaust for enhanced sound and weight reduction, custom paintwork, relocated indicators, bar-end mirrors, and a fender eliminator kit.
